Below is information that will help prep contestants and their families for the pageant:

• Practice will not be scheduled at this time but will be posted to the WV Poultry Pageants Facebook page at a later date
• Stage layout will be posted to the WV Poultry Pageants Facebook page at a later date

Phases of Competition

Photogenic Award: a 5x7 headshot must be submitted with signed and completed application. Photogenic winners are judged in advance by a panel of judges. This photo will be used for publication and social media marketing covered by the WVPA.
People's Choice Award: All proceeds benefit the future of the WV Poultry Pageant. $1=1 vote. One winner in ages 1-7 will be awarded and one winner in ages 8-12. Each contestant will have a jar for spectators to place their money. No need to make one.
Prizes & Awards: Official Crown, Embroidered Sash, Plaque, Bouquet, AND MORE!
People's Choice, Photogenic, First & Second Runner-Up winners will be awarded in each division.
Rules & Regulations:

• The contestant must be a resident of West Virginia
• Contestants age will be based on their age on pageant day
• 2024 court will represent the 2024 West Virginia Poultry Festival July 15-20th 2024. Scheduled events and activities will be provided by the pageant director, CARMEN TAYLOR. All royalty must attend the WV Poultry Festival parade. Each winner's guardian(s) or parent(s) will be responsible for providing transportation to and from the parade.
• Titleholders are encouraged to attend functions/pageants/parades outside of the organization as visiting royalty at their own expense. Sash must be worn, and crowns are not to be worn unless requested.
• Titleholders may not compete in any other pageant until August 1st 2024.

I have read the Pageant Rules and Regulations of the West Virginia Poultry Pageant. I acknowledge that all information I have provided is true and accurate of this date. I further acknowledge that any false information that I have provided, or the improper conduct of my child or myself can lead to their dismissal from the 2024 WV Poultry Pageants. The Executive Board of the Association will have the sole and undisputed right to determine a dismissal and all decisions will be accepted as final. I agree to not hold the WVPA, family, Spectators, or the facility where the pageant is held liable for injuries or items in my possession that are misplaced during the pageant. No refunds will be given after the deadline. Score sheets will not be given out. Rules and regulations apply. The 2024 WV Poultry Royalty Court will be representing during the 2022 WV Poultry Festival. Parents and guardians must always ensure the proper conduct of their children and themselves. Any improper conduct could result in the child's dismissal from any or all future activities and their title.
